FAQs

1. I have a interest for International workcamp of voluntary work. What do I have to do?

You can read more information about the application procedure HERE.

The fisrt step is to look for an appropriate project in the database or in the Catalogue of Workcamps organizated abroad. You can find the database too in this web on the right side or in printed Catalogue, which you can get in our office or you can download it on our website HERE.

After that the procedure is very simple: just fill out Volunteer´s Exchange Form (VEF) - you can find it in the section "Get involved" - sign it and send it to us by post (Kosicka 37, 821 09 Bratislava) to our office (together with the confirmation about the payment of the membership fee  -  pay the membership fee.

By this your applying is finishing and the phase of communication with our partners is starting. Each participant is informed about his/her acceptation by our partners immediately we receive this information.

2. Will I earn money abroad? And how much?

Each project and event organized by INEX Slovakia and by our partner organizations are organized in the philosophy of voluntarism, that means that workcamps and other projects (MTV, LTV, EVS) are organized in the field of voluntary help, social or physical. That means participants will not earn money in another country but the acquired experiences, contacts with new people, cultures, experiences and the feeling of satisfaction from well-done "work" is much more than money. The accommodation and food is countervalue.

If you have any other questions write to inex(at)inex.sk.

3. I am waiting for notification about my acceptance on workcamp but nothing is comming, still not comming ...

Do you belong to the volunteers who are waiting for wishful acceptation in your wishfull workcamp? And the notification is still not comming? Problem could be too in that even if you paid for the participation fee by bank transfer (or by post) we did not receive your application (VEF).

If you have the feeling that you could be in this group  please contact us urgently by phone +421 905 501 077 or via email out(at)inex.sk.

4. How could I become a member of INEX Slovakia?

Everybody could become the member of INEX Slovakia. Just fill out the application electronically on www.inex.sk , or by fax, post or personally at the office and pay for membership fee (2€). We are sending all new information about workcamps and other activities directly to our members. The big advantage is too the discount for participation fee for the events organized by INEX Slovakia.

5. What with the insurance in another country?

The reliable form of the insurance are EURO 26, ISIC (where the insurance is valid one month from leaving Slovakia). It is profitable to get European insurance card (EPZP) in your health insurance company. We recommend to each participant to take out an insurance for traveling, eventually baggage, or maybe other things as dentist, injury etc. in the case that you want to travel after the end of your work camp.

6. What are the expenses for traveling to the workcamp in another country?

INEX Slovakia provides the participation on voluntary workcamp in another country. The request is participation fee 93€ if you are the member of INEX Slovakia and you pay for this fee by a bank transfer. The participation on a workcamp is going too together with:

- travel expenses (if it is not a special project where part/whole travel expenses are covered by the partner organization)

- insurance (if our partners do not cover the insurance for whole duration of the work camp we recommend you to take out an insurance for traveling, eventually for baggage)

-  pocket money

7. I would like to take a part on the training organized by INEX Slovakia for leaders of voluntary workcamps, what shoul

There is a requisition for participating on the trainings for leaders that each leader should take part as a volunteer on voluntary workcamp abroad or in Slovakia before.
